    The consultancy office for structural design was founded by Dipl.-Ing. Werner Abelein in Munich in 1957. In 1963 Mr. Abelein was nominated as proof engineer for structural design, specialization of reinforced concrete constructions.

In 1992 Dr.-Ing. Dirk Jankowski joined the office as partner; the company was renamed to Abelein & Dr. Jankowski. With the retirement of the founder Werner Abelein in 1997, Dr. Jankowski became sole managing partner.
In 2000 AJG Ingenieure GmbH was founded with the entry of Prof. Dr.-Ing Norbert Gebbeken as partner.

In 2007 AJG celebrated its 50th anniversary.
